Villages

The entire coastline of the Park is dotted with small fishing villages with white houses, which despite the summer pull of tourism, retain their seafaring essence. Just 2 kilometers from the coast is Rodalquilar, a charming town with a somewhat different appearance, probably due to its mining past. Inside, Nijar,  Famous for its artisan products, it hasn't changed much over time and retains its primitive moorish structure of narrow, labyrinthine alleyways.

The desert of Tabernas

About 50 kilometers from San José, is the only proper desert on the European continent. Spectacular and arid landscapes full of gullies and boulevards, the natural setting for numerous films. In it there are three western towns that served as sets for different films and that currently function as theme parks.
